How we handle it
We start with a scan, a fluid inspection and a road test, because a shift complaint can come from half a dozen places. Low or burnt fluid, a failing solenoid pack, a bad speed sensor, or an engine misfire the transmission is reacting to. All of those get ruled in or out before anyone talks about a rebuild.
When a transmission does need replacing, we install Jasper remanufactured units, built to updated specs and backed by a nationwide warranty. On manual cars we use BorgWarner and LuK clutch components. For routine care, a fluid and filter service on schedule is the best way to avoid a rebuild.

Commonly every 30,000–60,000 miles, but it varies widely by vehicle. We’ll check what your manufacturer specifies.
