How we handle it
Old cars need a mechanic who learned on them. Carburetor rebuilds and tuning, ignition timing and distributor work, engine machining and assembly, cooling systems that have to survive a summer parade, brake and suspension upgrades that keep a heavy car planted on Highway 1. Scott has been doing this work his whole career.
We use parts from Edelbrock, Holley, Flowmaster, Felpro, American Racing, Hoosier. The shop is an NHRA supporter and plenty of the cars in the bays are ones the owners built themselves. Bring it in and talk it through with Scott.

Do you do full restorations?
We do the mechanical side: engine, driveline, brakes, suspension, cooling and tuning. Call and tell us what you’re after.
Will you work on a car I built myself?
Gladly. A lot of our customers built their own and just want a second set of experienced hands on a specific problem.
Can you inspect a car before I buy it?
Yes, and it’s money well spent on an older car. We’ll tell you what you’re really looking at.
Do you do engine machine work in house?
Machining is Scott’s original trade. Bring us the engine and we’ll talk through what it needs.
We're at 304 Higuera Street in downtown San Luis Obispo, and customers come to us from Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Grover Beach and Atascadero as well. Local shuttle service is available while your vehicle is with us.
